Joint European front on climate change
As part of our journey, from August to November 2017, Carbonific was participating in Climate-KIC Accelerator programme with 5 other Estonian and over 50 European start-ups. The joint aim was to find better ways for slowing down the climate change. And there are so many ways to make it happen. In our batch:
Bootcamps, workshops, mentoring and more
What feels to be part of an accelerator? For us at Carbonific it meant meeting up with other start-ups, who are passionate making the world a better place by one kg of CO2 at the time.
There were helpful bootcamps to create a stronger cleantech community and practical workshops on various aspects of business development. Hereby we’d give an especially big hand and thank you to:
- Aleksander Gansen for mentoring & Ragmar Saksing for words of wisdom from Shipitwise experiences
- Andy Zynga for sharing his thoughts on innovation
- Eldridge Labinjo for tricks on pitching
- Paris Thomas and Ron Bloemers for helping to validate our business ideas
Most importantly, accelerator empowered us to put full focus on the communication with customers and suppliers across South East Asia. We visited in person over 50 properties for on-site interviews. Carbonific also attended ITB Asia 2017, where Timo talked his voice off by the end of the event.
Thus, if you have an idea or want to develop one in relation to climate change, check out Climate-KIC website for their support options or write us at firstname.lastname@example.org to join forces.
We created Carbonific to find the businesses who walk their green talk, starting with hotels. Stay tuned for next updates what are our findings on this journey.
